The Philippine National Police released a statement wherein it was mentioned that Naga City is among the 5 worst cities in terms of crime rate and Vice President Leni Robredo is not happy about it.

Total Crime Volume

A few days ago PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde said in a statement that Naga is the 5th city outside of Manila that has the highest crime rate in the Philippines.
But it was corrected by PNP Public Information Office Acting Chief Benigno Durana that it was 6th, not 5th.
“Based on the latest PNP data, among the major cities of the country outside of Metro Manila, Naga City is ranked No. 6 in the total crime volume during the period from January to July 2018,”

VP’s Wrath

Everybody knows that Naga is VP Leni’s hometown, and she is not happy about the data that was released. She said that the PNP should release statements that are true, and not just release a statement to throw stones at her.

“Kung magbibigay ng datos, sana yung datos na totoo. Kasi yung damage na ginagawa niya sa lungsod hindi naman ako yun eh, hindi ako yung namumuno ng Naga. Ang Naga pinamumunuan ng officials na mahuhusay at matitino. At sana hindi na sila nadadamay sa pulitika,” said Leni.

I’m used to it

Robredo also added that she is used to the critics condemning her and throwing stones at her. But the moment that her hometown is not spared just because the critics want to get to her, then that’s time that she will talk.
“Sanay na sanay akong tinutuligsa ako. Pag ako lang, hindi ako umaalma. Ang gusto kong ifocus yung energies ko sa mas makabuluhang mga bagay. Pero ‘pag yung lungsod na namin yung titirahin dahil sa akin talagang aalma ako.”

Palit ulo

The netizens were quick to react to what Robredo said. They reminded her of the time she went to the US to give an interview about a fake story about “palit ulo” regarding the President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war.
People told her that how come she is reacting when Naga is concerned when she, herself, ruined her country just for her own interest.
